Biography
Has served on the faculties of California Institute of the Arts, College of the Canyons, Florida State University, and SUNY (Brockport). Founder and first president of the International Guild of Musicians in Dance. Cofounder of the contemporary music and dance ensemble Footnote, with performances at colleges and universities throughout the United States. Composer of numerous solo, chamber, and electronic scores, as well as over fifty works for dance. Has accompanied teachers and choreographers at Michigan State University, California Institute of the Arts, Florida State University, Bates College Dance Festival, and SUNY (Brockport). Composer and lyricist of numerous theatre works. Author of articles that have been published in scholarly journals and presented at international conferences. Recipient of several grants and commissions.
