New York: The Classroom, The City, Or Both?
Spend part of your summer in New York City and study dramatic writing at the Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing at Tisch. At the Department of Dramatic Writing we train undergraduate and graduate students in playwriting, screenwriting and television writing. During the summer our writing workshop courses, taught by our regular academic year faculty and also visiting faculty, are available to non-majors and visiting students.
We have beginning courses in playwriting, screenwriting, television sit-com writing and now we have comic book writing. In addition to these courses we have intermediate courses in playwriting and screenwriting.
When you are not in class or writing your scripts, you’ll have New York City at your disposal. There are always great opportunities in the city to see new or classic theatre and film, as well as many summer festivals in the arts and music for visitors to experience.
Beginning and intermediate courses are offered. The courses are offered 2 nights a week for 6 weeks, from 5:30-8:20 p.m.
