Since graduating SUNY Purchase Magna Cum Laude in 1991, John has been a professional musician in many capacities. He works with many singers from the Broadway scene, from shows like Wicked, Mama Mia, Hairspray, The Lion King, The Producers, Chicago to name a few. John has been a dance musician at several universities including Marymount Manhattan, NYU Tisch, Hofstra, and Adelphi. He has developed a niche for Theater Dance in particular, playing for the American Theater Dance Workshop for eleven years, as well as teaching Musical Theater. He has played for many dance and theater workshops and master classes in New York and beyond.
In addition to accompanying singers and dancers, John is a songwriter / composer. He just completed an original musical called The Vaudevillian with writer/actor Brian Henry, which has been under development with Chelsea Rep. He has written songs for "Classy Bee", a childrens clothing line. He has scored for many choreographers, including Pascal Benichou. John also makes a living doing American, Irish and Greek club dates on weekends.
